Dr. Thembelihle Dube is a Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as well as a member of the Cape Town Self Psychology Group (CTSPG). She completed her B.Psych Hons at Wits University and her Masters degree in Community Counselling and Clinical Psychology at the University of Stellenbosch. Dr. Thembelihle completed her internship at Fort Napier Hospital and her community service year at the Khayelitsha District Hospital. 

 

Dr. Thembelihle offers psychological services to children, adolescents and adults. She practices in different modalities given the presenting concern and the scope of the intervention. Dr. Thembelihle is au fait with Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Family Therapy, as well as Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).

 

Dr. Thembelihle is passionate about work within communities in 2011 she was a part of the Kayamandi Project supervised by Prof. Tony Naidoo in the community of Kayamandi which is a township at the edge of Stellenbosch. The Kayamandi Project offered support to learners at the two high schools in Kayamandi. Dr. Thembelihle initiated the provision of psychological services at the Kayamandi Clinic. Thembelihle continues to be involved in the team offering support to the community of Kayamandi.
